Watercolor is a natural medium for my paintings. It provides a colorful, transparent and spontaneous palette that embodies the ever-changing environment. I strive to explore both frontiers, experimenting with color and technique to create unique images.
Scuba diving allows me to break the confines of the aquarium and study my subjects in their natural world. I’ve come within inches of a barracuda, visited the home of a moray eel, swam with dolphins and stingrays, and encountered thousands of reef fish. I’ve strolled across the ocean floor with a crab, watched a lobster protect his home, and hovered face to face with a blowfish. I find nothing more amazing and interesting than exploring the ocean depths.
